Description
We are currently in the process of starting the Evolve development server installation. We need some help deciding what the best course of action is regarding setting up installation/service accounts.
According to the 'Winshuttle Evolve Installation Process and Server Requirements 2021-11' document that has been shared with us:
We need minimum of 2 service accounts as follows:
#1 Evolve Installation or Setup Account (Example: Domain\svc_Install (Newly created) or IT Admin’s Existing Technical Account)
#2 Evolve Application Pool Account (Example: Domain\svc_AppPool)
Since service accounts are not allowed to be used for login, installing Evolve with one of their IT admin's personal accounts. Is my understanding correct that we can use his personal admin account to run the Evolve installer and then during the installation (see screenshot), we select the actual service account to use with the application pool?

Solution/Immediate Workaround
- For installation account, yes IT admin can use their business login account to setup Evolve server.
2. And when running Evolve setup with IT admin personal business account, they could provide the service account to use with application pool account, this is also correct.
3. With Evolve installer "modify" mode the application pool account can be changed. installer update all the settings , database, installation files including change in application pool account.
The account used for application pool and same account used for Worker window service, it used to run both Evolve and Worker. Also any changes made to business account will not make any impact to Evolve server.
