Can we disable Print Pooler Service on Foundation Server?

our technical service teams wants to know, if print spooler services on Foundation server (SAP integration server, Sharepoint server) can be deactivated? Reason is a security vulnerability in the spooler service.....

Solution/Immediate Workaround

Print pool service mainly for Printing function in OS, so that doesn't seems any issue with foundation application. We never tested our application with this, but ideally it should have no impact of it in our application.
