I have got an error while running a script in the background using the Winshuttle Update plugin.

The error we get is:

Error: The submission request failed with the following error:

Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.'.

Cause

Limitation of chars in the web service name.

Solution/Immediate Workaround

The issue arises due to a limit in the length of the web service name with the Winshuttle Update Plugin.  This can be resolved by limiting the web service name to less than 50 Chars.

If the web service name is more than 50 Chars the script won’t run at all.
