Description

Customers having an older sap version example like sap_basis 700 with SAP GUI 750 or later will get an error System_Prepare_Attach_GUI error while starting the recording in the Studio.

Applies To

SAP server with sap_basis 700 and using  SAPGUI 750 or above.

Cause

Sap NW RFC used in SAPGUI 750 or above requires the module System_Prepare_Attach_GUI  for recording. System_Prepare_Attach_GUI  is the SAP module not available in older SAP releases.

Solution/Immediate Workaround

The following are the workarounds to resolve the issue. Customer can do step 1 or step 2 or step 3 depending upon their environment.

1. Please suggest the customer apply sapnote  "1258724 - Starting SAPGUI using external RFC libraries " on your sap server.

2. Downgrade SAPGUI to SAPGUI 740.

3. Upgrade SAP system to EH7.
