When trying to create a Query from a recording, the option is grayed out.

Cause

Most common cause is that the Winshuttle Function Module (WFM) is not installed or is a mismatch. This feature is WFM dependent. Secondary cause for Foundation/User Governance customers is that the user doesn't have the data dictionary administrator role. 

Solution/Immediate Workaround

Ensure the WFM is installed and matches Studio. 

If using Foundation/User Governance, add authors to the Data Dictionary Administrator Role.

Additional Information

The Data Dictionary Administrator role is necessary to give authors access to maintain their own data dictionary. Query Create From Recording creates new entries to the DD as an output with all of the tables encountered during the recording.
