Description
When calling web services from an external system (e.g. SoapUI tool) you might get below error:
401 -Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials
(Screenshot attached).
Applies To
Foundation 11.x.x & 12.x.x -- SoapUI 5.5.0
Cause
The user needs to be a licensed Winshuttle user.
The request needs to be a soap request using NTLM authentication.
Solution/Immediate Workaround
The main point to take into consideration here is that the user making the request should be with in the same OS domain and should have a valid Winshuttle license.
In case the user is not in the same domain this would be a cross domain request onto IIS.
In this case both domains need to have a trusted relationship setup.
You also might come across this error:
A new request was tried and we received the error "No worker associated error".
Make sure that Winshuttle Worker and Launch GUI worker services are up and running.
SAP-IS should be installed and setup.
Make sure that you have published the Winshuttle scripts to the SAP-IS and as XML Webservice.
If the soap request still fails create a new soap request after each configuration change.
