Description

When attempting to launch the software the following error message is received: TRANSACTION attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. This can also be seen in Query and Runner Studio.

Cause

This error message is seen when the user has limited access or the User Account Control is set too low on their machine, and the software has not been installed as administrator. Also, the data file may have become corrupted. 

Solution/Immediate Workaround

1. If this error message appears when launching scripts, un-install the Winshuttle software via your Control Panel and reinstall by right clicking the setup.exe and selecting Run as administrator. If you do not see this option contact your internal IT team for assistance.

2. If this error message appears when opening the mapper from Update Mapping in the script and the data file will not open, recreate a new data file from Excel and attach the new file to the script. Try opening the mapper again.

3. You can adjust User Account Control settings from User Accounts in Control Panel.
