Description
How does Winshuttle connect to the saplogon.ini file when the file path is not specified in the application?
Solution
- The file path is blank by default which means the default path for the saplogon.ini file in the SAP GUI will be used to find the file. Once it is set to a value, that location is looked at and if you have mentioned the path in the AppOptions.xml file and saved it then it should pick that value in all sessions and should be visible in the AppOptions.xml file as well.
- There is no need to define the path as the path is picked by default behind the scene when the application launches and if users want to they can change the path to a custom path if that is required and if their SAP logon file is saved in a custom location.
If some users have a value showing in the file path, this means that at some point they have defined it themselves and if some other users do not, they did not define that value at all or did not need to.
By default, Winshuttle looks for the saplogon.ini file in C:\Windows. unless you update the location in the SAP default options in the application.
