Description

When running a known working VA01 script after SAP Basis Upgrade to 740 ECC6 EHP7 causes error: Runtime error MESSAGE_TYPE_X
The script runs, however Long Text is not updating.

Applies to

Transaction, 10.5 and Runner for Transaction
SAP Basis 740 without Winshuttle Function Module 

Cause

During upgrade of SAP Basis 740; the system is now running on Basis 740 which is EHP7
As outlined in this article here we learn why Long text not working after upgrade to EHP 7. 

Solution 

Upgrade Winshuttle Application version 10.7.2 or higher.  
Test the solution and if issue persists the installation of WFM also required.
