Description

We want to execute a transaction script in batch mode. Winshuttle creates a Windows Task Scheduler entry for it. The script runs OK as long as the option "Run with user logged on" is selected. If we change it to "Run whether user logged on or not" then we get an Excel error: Access Denied.

Solution

This error usually relates to admin rights on the user's machine. 

Launch Winshuttle as administrator and try running the script. To launch as administrator, right click on the Winshuttle Icon and choose 'run as administrator'.

You might also have to do the following if the issue persists:

Go to control panel->Administrative tools-->Component Services ->Computers -> MyComputer ->DCOM Config-> Microsoft Excel Application-> right click to get the properties dialog-> Goto Security tab-> customize permissions accordingly
