Description

The user removed 2 fields from his script and is now getting the error: "Field MBEW-VPRSV. input value is longer than screen field"

Cause

The data sheet and the script didn't line up. When the user removed the field from their script they edited their data file to remove the gaps left by the missing fields. However, they did not update the mapping in Transaction.

Solution

1. Remap the script to match the new data file. One way to quickly do this is to highlight all of the fields that you want to remap and then draw up from the corresponding location in the excel file.
2. SAP was no longer allowing the input to be longer than the field values after an upgrade to 750 - previous to the upgrade if the input value was longer the additional text would be removed.
