We were having performance issues with Winshuttle Foundation. One of the recommendations was: to go to the Foundation User Governance database - dbo.tracelog table and check the storage on this table. If it's greater than 100 MB, truncate that table. If that tracelog table gets large, it can cause timeout related issues on the site and various functionality.
We would advice on an ongoing basis on how we can manage this table. Is there any recommendation Winshuttle has on throttling the table down to prevent the size of the table growing? How can we prevent this table from impacting performance in the future?
Foundation, User Governance
We recommend the following steps:
- Routinely clear the trace table through the Logs and Settings page IF logging has been enabled at any point
- Have User Governance logging completely disabled unless needed to capture a particular issue. Information about User Governance logging can be found here: Foundation Logging
