How to stop the Scheduled jobs not running staying in "In Progress" Status

Solution

a) It is not possible to Stop the "In Progress" Status  requests only way to achieve the same is by deleting the Task in the Data base.

The table that can be used to delete the Tasks is dbo.TimerJobQueuing and the status should not equal 3.

b) Also; Check in SharePoint Central Administration -> Monitoring -> Job History and ensure the Winshuttle Central Autorun jobs are not running on an application server (this is only applicable in SharePoint farms with multiple servers).
