Description

When attempting to use the Sync Excel Define Names plugin in an Excel Workflow an attempt to save the data file results in the error:

"Error Updating Excel Define Names to SharePoint Column. Error (0)"

Cause

Excel Workflow requires the Foundation setting "Enable Property Promotion" to be checked. It is unchecked by default.

Solution

  1. As a Winshuttle Central Application Administrator, open the Foundation home page in the browser.
  2. Click on Settings in the menu.
  3. Click on Preferences.
  4. Click on the Foundation tab.
  5. Check the "Enable Property Promotion" box.
