Description

After SAP GUI patch level upgrade, customer received the error message “hostname NiHLGetNodeAddr unknown" while recording a script in GUI scripting mode.

Transaction 10.X, Studio 10.X

Cause

After the SAP GUI patch level upgrade, the parameter sapgui/user_scripting in RZ11 is set back to False.

Solution

After SAP GUI patch level upgrade, the value of the parameter sapgui/user_scripting in RZ11 should be set back to True.
