Description

User receives an error while adding SharePoint groups in Policies page as "The following groups cannot be added because they are domain groups or have domain groups in them."

Solution

Make sure the group trying to add is part of same Active Directory as SharePoint server or make sure to add custom LDAP connections. Refer to Manage LDAP Connections
