Description
Occasionally, users and administrators will need to find the Winshuttle Function Module (WFM) version number, SAP Basis, Kernel Information so that they can determine whether an upgrade is needed. This can easily be done via Studio or directly from SAP GUI.

Solution
How to check Basis, Kernel and Winshuttle Function Module versions in SAP:
Launch SAP and go to System menu in any SAP screen and select Status (in some systems you will find this option under More in the menu bar).
You should now see the System: Status with Usage data at the top (not shown below).
For the SAP Basis and Winshuttle Function Module versions, click on the magnifying glass under Component version in SAP System data
You will see the SAP_BASIS near the top of the list of components. Send Winshuttle Support the release and level numbers.
Scroll to the bottom of the list of components to view the version of the Winshuttle Function Module component, beginning WINSHTL or WINSHTLQ . Note from version 10.6 there is one WFM component for both Query and Transaction. Send Winshuttle Support the release and level numbers.
For Kernel Information , click on the Other Kernel Info icon.

How to check Winshuttle Function Module version from Studio :
- Open Winshuttle Studio. Click on New -> Query. Then choose any of the creation method.
- Sign in to the SAP system in question.
- Click on 'Create script'
- In Studio, click the arrow next to the system number that is displayed in the status bar. The WFM version is displayed.
