These file types are support by the Transaction addin, file types not listed here such as template files may not function properly when run through the addin until they are saved as one of the types below.

• Standard workbook: .xlsx, .xls

• Macro-enabled workbook: .xlsm

• Non-XML binary workbook: .xlsb

• Macro-enabled add-in: .xlam

Additional information

If you use an Excel binary file (.xslb), you can use the Excel Add-in to enter data and run the script. Excel binary files cannot be opened in Studio v11.This is documented here
