Trying to open a template from Winshuttle Foundation site. When I attempt to check-out the template in Excel, it's not allowed and keeps prompting for user name and password.
As a troubleshooting step, go into SharePoint and check out the script and data file in SharePoint to verify that neither file has already been checked out. If the items are already checked out, a Site Collection Administrator will be able to discard or overwrite the check-out which should rectify the issue.
If the files are still not checked out, try the following steps based on the required scenario:
Update Data Template:
Allow revision of Data Templates: Select Allow revision of data templates to enable users to select Revise in the Submission Wizard.
If would like to update the data template, use the REVISE data template functionality in Studio. This will be done by resubmitting the script via Transaction.
To Fill the Data in the Data Template:
Do not open the file from foundation site directly.
First open Excel.
Login in to the Excel Studio Add-in.
Browse to the data template from Add-in and select your data template.
If you still see the checkout option, then save the data template locally and then fill the data
