Description

Why do we use the Start SAP GUI (in Studio 11x, 12x) or Launch GUI (in Transaction 10x) check box when recording certain SAP transactions in Batch and Non-batch recording modes?

In Studio 11x, 12x Start SAP GUI is located in the Run tab



In Transaction 10.X Launch GUI is located on the main screen next to Run Options.

Cause

SAP requires certain screens or actions to be run with the GUI in foreground mode even if the transaction can be recorded using Batch or Non-Batch recording modes.

Solution

The Launch GUI check box tells SAP to run in the foreground mode without actually launching the SAP GUI.

Additional Information

FormWorker is required when running scripts with Launch GUI/Start SAP GUI enabled in a Composer solution.
