Enabling GUI Scripting
To use GUI Scripting with Winshuttle Transaction™, GUI scripting must be enabled in the SAP GUI and have the parameter set in RZ11. Typically, Basis has to enable the parameter setting and users will have to enable it on their SAP GUI.
Enabling in SAP GUI
These are the steps that need to be done by the user:
Go to Customize Local Layout | ![]() |

Navigate to the Scripting tab and check Enable Scripting | ![]() |
Enabling GUI Scripting Parameter
The SAP BASIS will have to perform the following steps to enable GUI Scripting:
Go to transaction RZ11 Enter in sapgui/user_scripting |

Click on Change Value and Enter TRUE for new value and save | ![]() |

Additional Information
Alternatively the SAP BASIS team can do the following:
1. go to transaction RZ11.
2. Enter parameter in sapgui/user_scripting_set_readonly and set its values FALSE
3. Enter parameter in sapgui/user_scripting_disable_recording and set its values FALSE
4. Enter parameter in sapgui/user_scripting_force_notification and set its values FALSE
Apart from above parameter check teh parameter sapgui/user_scripting_per_user.If its true , user should have authroization object s_scr with activity type 16.
Notee:- sapgui/user_scripting_per_user (decide whether SAP GUI Scripting is permitted based on an authorization object S_SCR assigned to users)
Note:
These three parameters are not available on all SAP systems.
While parameter sapgui/user_scripting is available on all SAP systems.
When a parameter is not found , SAP GUI shows message “Parameter name is not known”.
If this is the case, use transaction RZ10 to create the parameter within the SAP system.
