Description 

When running previously working GUI Scripting Scripts since PC Upgrade to Office 2016 after installing Winshuttle 64 bit, 2 errors occur and users are unable to run these scripts.

Error 2) The 'Sapgui Component' could not be instantiated

Transaction 10.x and v11.x

Cause

The initial error in this case was symptomatic of the second error, which usually suggests the is an incompatibility between Excel and Winshuttle Bit Versions.  Please see: Logon balancing: parser error in '/M//H/...."

In this case the Bit version of Excel and Winshuttle did match therefore the second error was caused by the users settings in Transaction were not the same as previous versions 
Once we selected 'Allow Multi-threaded SAP GUI launch' in SAP Default in the User settings then neither error occurred and 

Solution

The settings in the newly installed Winshuttle Application did not have the necessary settings Steps in v10:
   - Go to Tools -> Options -> SAP Defaults
   - Check 'Allow Multithreaded SAP GUI launch'
   - Click OK



 Steps in v11:
   - Go to File -> Options -> SAP Settings
   - Check  'Allow Multithreaded GUI Scripting'
   - Click OK
